Where They At is a family coordination app for kid pickups and drop-offs. It is built for parents; this policy describes exactly what data the app handles and where it goes.
The information you enter in the app — your family's adult and kid first names, friends' names and household contact details, saved places and addresses, and pickup/drop-off tasks — is stored in a family document in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, hosted in the United States). This is what makes one shared board work across your family's phones. Access requires an anonymous sign-in plus your family code, which acts as a shared secret — treat it like a password and only give it to your own household.
When a pickup is captured from a text, the single sentence it was taken from is saved on that task so you can see where it came from. That sentence syncs with the task to your family's board — and, for a co-parented child, to the other household you shared that child with.
No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no selling or sharing of data with third parties. The only third party involved is Google Firebase acting as our database host.
Where They At is designed for and used by parents and caregivers. Kids do not use the app and have no accounts. The only child-related data is what a parent chooses to enter (a first name and optional age) to label pickups.
Settings → Reset all data removes your family's document from our database and all local data. You can also email us to request deletion.
